DIRECTOR
STAGE, SCREEN, IMMERSIVE
I am a queer stage, screen and immersive director with a hidden disability. I'm Artistic Director of Liminal Stage Productions (LSP) and Associate Learning Practitioner at the RSC.
I create formally ambitious stage and screen productions that explore the interplay between different media, genres & forms, and that interrogate alternative perspectives in order to tell urgent, powerful stories about what it means to be human.
Recent and forthcoming projects include:
-
Channel 4 Playwright Lulu Raczka's digital short, GREY MAN
-
An RSC seed commission, FLEX: a queer love story in live motion capture
-
Katie Mitchell's live multi-camera video production of ORLANDO adapted by Alice Birch at the Schaubuehne (1st AD/2nd Unit Director)
-
Transform Clore Fellowship 2021
-
ACE DYCP Award 2019
I trained at the RSC with Deputy Artistic Director Erica Whyman, at Donmar Trafalgar, and at the Print Room with Lucy Bailey. In 2016, I creatively produced & directed the transfer of my bold theatrical experiment, GREY MAN, at Theatre503. Previously, I creatively produced & directed my ACE-funded & “technically inventive” (The Stage) HOWARD BARKER DOUBLE BILL at Arcola (2015) and my ACE-funded centennial adaptation of WOYZECK launching Omnibus (2013). I was the youngest founding Board member of Stage Directors UK, have been a Trustee of the Directors Charitable Foundation, and am a Directing Tutor at Mountview.
