HOWARD BARKER DOUBLE BILL

This exhilarating Double Bill comprised the London premiere of Howard Barker’s The Twelfth Battle of Isonzo, featuring the voice of celebrated NT and RSC actor Nicholas Le Prevost in a groundbreaking binaural sound design and immersive blackout plunging spectators into the sensory experience of the two blind characters, paired with a timely revival of Judith starring acclaimed actress Catherine Cusack. This £34,000 ACE GFTA-funded project (for which I raised a total of £50,000 in pre-production funds) included Arcola’s first ever touch tour and audio-described performance for blind and partially-sighted audiences.
